Hello to all..Jane I tried to post yesterday to give you my bit of advice on whether or not to keep Bubba. I am wondering if you plan to get another dog when Shadow goes over the Rainbow Bridge? If so, it sounds like Bubba would be a great fit. He's past the puppy stage and certainly seems to have claimed you as his. My suggestion is for you to let your heart be your guide...LOL... Congratulations, you just got a new kid....LOL.. I am sorry to hear that Shadow is failing. What wonderful companions Molly and Shadow have been.

Rosey, I have never heard of ketchup on pancakes! I think the majority of us in CA use syrup, fruit, or perhaps peanut butter and syrup...I think ketchup would be a "Say What?" moment even for the IHOPers...LOL

Hi fellow BBers.. someone mentioned that they found Roxanne McElroys book, "That Perfect Stitch" very helpful. Beings I am having trouble with my hand quilting I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a copy. My local library does not have it. I have been to Barnes and Noble but they say it is no longer available. Does anyone know if Diedra, Roxanne's daughter sells them at the quilt shows or where/how I can contact her? I have just about decided the quilt I am working on may never be completed. I have done a lot of hand quilting although it has been some time ago. Okay, I confess the hands "ain't" what they used to be...LOL Thanks for listening...Pat in CA

Jane, I know what you are going through regarding your eyesight, actually, I know what you are going through with electrical problems too..LOL...Between painters, electricians, repairmen, all have made a run on my finances. Surprize, surprize most of them have not been worth a darn. I have had to call most of them to task for shoddy, shameful work. The painter that came highly recommended brought his wife with him one day so she could help him. She grabbed the opportunity to steal my "cash on hand".. $600. It was my fault for being so trusting and careless. They took off, never finished the painting and I was unable to find them...It was a real scam. They would do a job and do it well. Then they would use that party to recommend them for another job until they found themselves a target......yep, that was me....Live and learn

Regarding my experience with glasses, I was very fortunate to go years without having to have glasses for my needle work. In fact if I was watching TV with glasses I would have to take them off to do handwork or read...THEN a couple of years ago at age 65, I found my eyes failing. Not bad, but annoying. I immediately made an appointment with my ophthalmologist for an exam. He informed me that my eyes had changed very little in the 7 years since my last exam. My how time does fly. LOL He did note the beginning of cataracts but didn't really address them. I ordered new glasses and promptly found that I could see no better than I did before I went in. I decided he had made a mistake on my prescription. He re-examined my eyes and told me that was as good as my eyesight was going to get. He informed me that he could only work with the eyes I brought him. He did not address the cataract issue again. I am using cheater glasses and they work fine. The glasses he fitted me for are not any better than my Wal Mart cheaters. I am going to make an appointment with another ophtro to find out if the cataracts are the problem. I have glasses strung all over this house but can't find a pair when I need them. I am not used to keeping track glasses. For YEARs I only wore prescription sunglasses for glare and distance. My new prescription sunglasses are the pits....I would almost as soon go without except for our intense CA sunshine...LOL...Okay, off my soapbox..this is a real whine and dine (cheese anyone?) post...LOL

Jane, I am sorry to hear you are having a rough time with your ankle. Seems like each day I find a new ache or pain in some part of my body. LOL

Did I tell you guys that we are a 5 generation family now?...Little Hailey Alexia was born a year ago. My mom, myself, my daughter, my grandson and now my gr grandaughter. She is beautiful. Sorry if it is a repeated boast but she is just so darn cute I can't help it....

If I was techy I would post a picture but I don't even own a digital camera...LOL

Lavinia your quilt is gorgeous! I have a burning question to ask...where did you find a shirt/blouse to match your quilt? You are color co-ordinated with your quilt..Love it...LOL

The WalMart here was recently updated and I hate it...can't find a thing. They down sized the dept and relocated it. When I commented on this to a clerk she told me the dept was fortunate to have been spared. Apparently corporate got their wires crossed and failed to notify the store to close the dept before the update. Beings the work was completed they let it stay. The clerk said they update about every 12 years so the dept will stay until that time. Mind you, this conversation was between a clerk and myself so you can judge for yourselves just how valid the info is...LOL

Jane, you always have a way of making me laugh... I know it is not polite to laugh when one is in a snit, and I will apologize in advance, but your post cracked me up. Nothing like a good old fashion hissy to clear the air. Right Rosey?.....LOL.....

Good Morning to all...I have been super busy doing some upgrades on the house but do manage to check in every couple of days...I have missed seeing posts from TeryeDawn...I hope she is okay..Lady Linda? It's been ages since I have seen a post from her... I know there are others like myself who mostly lurk, however when I don't see a regular poster for awhile I get concerned...TerTer....you are so funnny...yes, that was quite a snowstorm you had...LOL..Please keep posting the pictures. Someday I will get into the world of high technology and purchase a camera so that I too can share photos...ESPECIALLY since I am going to be a great grandmother in June...a baby girl is expected and we are soooo excited. The name game is the daily topic of conversation...LOL She will be a fifth generation baby. Sending hugs ......Pat in CA
